2004 National Power Conservation and Rational Use Award

Oil and Natural Gas Derivatives Category Created in 1993 by presidential decree, the National Power Conservation and Rational Use Award was established to provide incentives to various agents of the society to develop projects focused on a more efficient use of energy resources. Every year, CONPET and Petrobras coordinate the granting of this Award in the oil and natural gas derivatives category, under the Industry and Highway Transportation categories.

 

Highlight for companies and benefits for the Country

Motivating manufacturers and service providers in Brazil to intensify the deployment of actions focused on a more efficient use of power, the National Power Conservation and Rational Use Award contributes to increase competition in industry and transportation, to improve products and services offered to the general population and to reduce emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere. Companies that dedicate their efforts in the promotion of rational use of power profit from image recovery, cost reductions and productivity gains.
