The CONPET portal adopts practices for users to be able to access information with privacy and credibility. This document is intended to present this policy’s guidelines.

1. Copyrights

1.1 The content of this site may be totally or partially reproduced for not-for-profit purposes, provided that the source is mentioned and the integrity of the information is maintained, and with due regard for third parties’ copyrights and material property rights that may have been assigned or authorized for use in the CONPET portal.

1.2 The use of the CONPET logo is exclusively under the program’s responsibility, and it may not be used by any third parties without CONPET’S prior authorization in writing.

1.3 The CONPET portal may, at its sole discretion, choose to edit, change, publicize or exclude messages published by users in the portal without prior notice or authorization.

2. Use of links for the CONPET portal

Links for the CONPET portal may be placed in other websites, with due regard for the following:

2.1 - The CONPET portal does not assume any liability for changes made in third party website links.

2.2 – No domain shall be able to use their main page to give a direct access to the CONPET portal’s main page.

2.3 – The CONPET portal may at any time decide to update the addresses of the site’s pages without prior notice to the public.

3. Links for sites outside of the CONPET portal

3.1 CONPET’S website has links into other websites. CONPET does not hold any liability for other websites’ privacy policies or contents. The access to these sites depends on the operation of various external factors, which are out of the CONPET portal’s control, such as the interaction of third party servers and telecommunications services and the user’s equipment suitability, to the extent that the CONPET portal shall be exempted from any type of liability for problems resulting from an access to third party websites.

3.2 The websites listed in the service called CONPET portal’s Reference Guide are selected beforehand and added to an updateable database. The CONPET portal does not hold any liability for the veracity, updating, for wrong or imprecise information contained in the websites listed in the Reference Guide.

4. CONPET portal’s content

CONPET shall not be liable for any errors, imprecision or omissions in the materials published on this website or in those made available through the other websites’ links, and for any losses resulting from the information published.

The CONPET portal reserves the right to change at any time the information published in this website.

5. Use of cookies

The CONPET portal uses cookies in its pages. Cookies are necessary for the processing of the content segmentation and security features. In order for these features to be activated, the user’s web browser must be activated to accept cookies.

6. What you should not do while using the services offered by the CONPET portal

6. 1 Access the site’s pages for illegal activities.

6.2 Transmit or announce threats, child pornography, racist material or any other type of material that violates the laws in force in the country.

6.3 Propagate computer virus, spyware (worms) or other forms of self-replicating or other computer that cause permanent or temporary damage in users’ equipments.

6.4 Transmit types or quantities of data that cause failures in services or equipment in CONPET’S network or in the Internet.

6.5 Use the network to try to and/or make unauthorized access to communications, information or computer devices.

6.6 Falsify machine, network, or e-mail addresses in an attempt to make a third party liable for an act or for hiding identity or authorship.

6.7 Destroy or corrupt other user’s data and information.

6.8 Breach other users’ privacies.

6.9 Distribute, by e-mail, news groups, forums and similar forms of communication, “chain letter” type unsolicited messages and mass-mailing messages, commercial or not.

6.10 Send a large number of identical messages to the same user by e-mail (mail bombing).

6.11 Violate third party copyrights by reproducing material without prior authorization.

7. The CONPET portal undertakes to:

7.1 Not release, without prior authorization, the e-mail addresses of users who register in the website.

7.2 Not reveal, without prior authorization, registrants’ information to other institutions or entities, whether government or private entities.

8. Security and Privacy Policy Update

This document may be amended at any time at the CONPET portal’ sole convenience. The date of the amendment will be shown at the lower part of this document.
